FIRST PEOPLE RECRUITMENT’S RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN (RAP)

First People Recruitment’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) aims to develop and deliver increased employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across all areas of employment in the First People Recruitment team.

The First People Recruitment RAP acknowledges that through improved engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and provision of culturally safe and respectful workplaces, sustainable employment outcomes for Indigenous people can be achieved.

The objectives of the First People RAP are to increase awareness of Aboriginal history and increased accessibility to workplace resources. The results of a successful First People RAP can lead to:

  • establish relationships with external Indigenous organisations and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The FIrst People RAP provides clear and measurable actions to address these objectives.

The First People Recruitment RAP focuses on assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to gain employment. The First People Recruitment RAP also identifies the need to increase engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses to increase employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
